John-Michael Mendizza (Erfurt)
I have been DJing somewhat regularly almost as long as I have been dancing, and I realize more and more as my dancing progresses the importance not just of good music, but arranged in the right structure to make a nice environment for a long night of dancing.
To that end, I try to key my DJing to create the right flow and feeling for the evening so that everyone will be caught up in the mood of the Milonga and dance the whole night long.

Stefan OK (Halle)
The rhythm of the 30s and the romance of the 40s are the essence of the tango, and the only task of the DJ is to bound that into coherent tandas!
Favoured with snappy valses and knocking milongas it just requires a few non-, nuevo and electro tangos, to bathe my dancers in a blend of serenity, severity, melancholia and care. As a dancer and DJ, I'm socialized in Italy, Buenos Aires, Halle upon Saale, where I weekly DJ at the milonga "BelTango.

I am a traditional tango DJ with a particular liking for the music of the 1930's and 1940's. I follow the TTVTTM structure with short cortinas, and occasionally (if the dancers seem to want it) I play a "special" tanda after each cycle - usually nuevo or electro or a modern interpretation of a classic song, or sometimes even something non-tango.

... might understand you in French, Spanish, German or English
... listens to tango (and to the dancers)!
... with a clear preference for the 1920-1940 period
... could possibly provide you with some original non-tango too ;-)

Tango on Shellac by DJTJ Thomas Jordan (Dresden)
My DJing on Wednesday begins quite fancy in the style of the 30-40's. Using the technology of that time I will present a selection of my favorite shellac records. In addition to some well-known Argentine tango performers, especially rarely performed in France, Russia, Holland, Germany, the Balkans and others from this period will be played.
Look forward to a "sizzling" event with "forgotten" tangos that you won't hear again easily. One more reason not to miss the milonga start at 10 pm.

Sabine Zubarik (Erfurt)
To me two things are important in DJing: Danceable peaces (for tango dancers), and a kind of dramaturgy through the evening (so no mixed emotions after each song). Vals and milonga won't be forgotten, and I am a great friend of tandas and cortinas. In short: As a DJane I'm trying to implement all that what I'm valuing as a dancer :-)

Nico (Leipzig)
The aim is to dominate the game immediately with kickoff by classic tango. Depending on the course of the game during the second half some alternative, modern and electronic substitutes will be given in exchange. Tandas will provide a relaxed gameplay as well as impartial Cortinas.
In addition to home games at Dresden's classical and alternative milongas, the coach had also been a guest DJ at friendship games, such as Halle, Prague or Braunsbedra.

Anne Preuss (Halle)
Although Anne didn't fabricate some new funny phrases about her DJing (!!!) she is very pleased to have moved up to the DJ-climax of this year's camp!
"I will stir a solid foundation of classic tangos, hand-picked nontangos, tango nuevos and electro tangos to a mixture that should bring you very well through the night.
Divided into bite-sized appetizers, I hope that there will be something mouth-watering for every taste!
In addition many milongas in Halle I have also dejayed at the Tango Marathon Beesenstedt, Heidelberg, Magdeburg and Bremen."

Thomas Henschel (Berlin)
Thomas and his red-yellow Hanomag caravanan and his accordion is a part of PHANTASTago from the beginning :-)
As well as his alternative milonga at "Haus der Sinne" in Berlin, his DJing is refreshingly different. His specialty as a DJ is the East European world music. We look forward to wonderful Tango Brunch on the last day!
