Yes,
you're right - so many Bandoneons! And these are only (!) the
Bandoneons - but violins, piano, bass, tuba, guitar and vocals are also
part of the orchestra!
This is pobably the biggest German Tango orchestra. We are
really happy to hear and see this Gran Orquesta on our opening ball of
our 10th anniversary!
The orchestra was founded in 2011 by the well-known bandoneonist
Juergen Karthe. He was driven by the wish to revive the original sound
of the big Argentine Tango orchestras. The extraordinary cast including
10 Bandoneons, 10 violins, piano, bass, tuba, guitar and vocals gives
us an idea of the powerful sound of the Tango during the golden era in
Buenos Aires.

We
had already engaged this great orchestra in 2013, but sadly the concert
could not take place du to problems with the airline. So the more happy
we are to have these superb musicians at this year's 10th camp.
Solo Tango is probably the first worldwide acclaimed Russian Tango
orchestra since the legendary Pjotr Leschenko. No wonder - Solo Tango
is formed by the best Russian musicians in the genre of Argentine
Tango. The intoxicating sound of the orchestra derives from a mixture
of incredible energy, extreme virtuosity and an extraordinary sense of
style.
